
Andy Cooks
Andy Cooks is the pseudonym for professional chef and content creator Andy Hearnden. The name has become synonymous with honest, approchable hands-on cooking. As his audience grew, so did a clear need for a brand that felt like an extension of Andy himself: quietly confident, unpretentious, and rooted in the real home kitchen.
At the heart of the brand is a product line, “An Essential Item”, developed in close collaboration with Andy and Contain design. From tote bags with cooler lining to aprons and a burger press, each piece in the range was designed for everyday use. These items were each designed to reflect Andy’s commitment to quality and functionality.
Our goal was to reflect Andy’s ethos: approachable, direct, and grounded. The resulting visual language is a typographic system as its core expression. Free from ornament, the design lets the products speak for themselves, echoing the simplicity and practicality of the home kitchen. A singular green accent threads through the identity, serving as a quiet nod to fresh produce.
